Daniel
Scheidegger Appointed New ECA Chairman

The European Compliance Academy is proud to
announce that Daniel Scheidegger, Vice President Operations and Managing
Director of Genzyme Pharmaceuticals Liestal, has been appointed as the new
ECA Chairman.
Former Chairman Dr Peter Reichelt led the organisation to become
the largest European-based interest group with nearly 3,000 members
representing 45 countries. He said: "We greatly appreciate it
that Daniel Scheidegger has accepted our invitation to head the European
Compliance Academy starting from October 2005."
The ECA Chairman is appointed for 2 years and can be re-appointed
for another period. The ECA Chairman heads the Advisory Board and thus
controls the activities of the organisation. The current members of the

Former Chairman Dr Peter Reichelt will
stay in close contact with the organisation to support the activities
further. On behalf of ECA, Daniel Scheidegger said: "We all thank
Dr Peter Reichelt for his outstanding work that contributed
significantly to the successful development of the organisation." He
goes on by saying: "I am honoured being appointed as chairman and I
am looking forward work with the team to continue the excellent work of
Peter Reichelt in developing the ECA."
