Moving a balance (specifically a microbalance) may cause damage to load cells that may invalidate the accuracy of the scale.
HPLC's are IQ/OQ'd in a single location and as JD indicated if considered to be stationary in nature then any movement would in theory invalidate the validation activities of the first qualification exercise.
