Thanks to all for inputs.

I think CC for a typo error would be overkill approach (correct me if I am wrong). I believe manual correction sign, dated and verified would meet all requirements of good practice.
By the way-have you heard of any reference prohibitting any such manual correction as I am being made to understand by our Quality Assurance.
